ConceptThe Neue Schule fuer Fotografie Berlin (The New School For Photography Berlin) offers a platform for studies of analogue and digital photography. In order to serve different usages of contemporary photography, we focus on the training of vision and the design/composition of images. Thus, we give our students the opportunity to discover photography as reflexive means of expression.

We have a special focus and interest on art photography, since it opens up a wide scope for creative potential.

Digital photography has changed the perception of an image by the various facilities of image editing with the computer. Based on concrete tasks and free computer design we will find solutions and answers to the challenges of digital photography.

StudiesThe academic year consists of two terms.
Admissions take place in spring and autumn.

Duration of study: 6 semester

1st year: fundamental studies
2nd year: advanced studies
3rd year: graduating class

The studies conclude with a self-contained practical assignment accompanied by a written theoretical work.

The result of the exam will be given as a certificate.
