A seminar with Birgit Dunkel
Fictive portraits of interesting figures in literature will be examined

Seminar information
Figures from different eras and epochs of history shall be characterized and portrait by using either text, properties or location, to illustrate the social status or the spirit of time. The choice of media and arrangement is open. You could work symbolic/ associative or the task could be as well thought historical or very concrete. Technically you can either work analog or digital (montage etc.)

- Esther (Silvia Plath),
- Ulrich (Robert Musil),
- Marion (John Irving),
- Settembrini or Hans Castorp (Thomas Mann),
- Irene and Jonas, or Ruth and Raul (Judith Hermann)
- Paul Hjelm and Kerstin Holm (Arne Dahl)  
Of course own proposals are welcome.

Staging production needs time and good preparation, therefore we planed a time-gap between the first and second meeting.


Seminar schedule (7 dates)
Each second Saturday of the month, whole day, 10 am - 6 pm

Fee: 500,00 Euro, additional 19% VAT

Minimum of participants : 8
Maximum of participants: 15
Application are able until July 17th, 2008.
